Discounts

Stanford Live reserves a limited number of student seats for all performances, even those that no longer have tickets available to the general public. 

All currently enrolled, degree-seeking Stanford University undergraduate and graduate students can purchase tickets starting at $15 or less for select performances. Limited numbers of Stanford student tickets in premium seating locations are also available at a 66% discount on a first-come, first-served basis.

Processing fees are reduced to $5 per order for Stanford students.

Things to keep in mind:

• The Stanford Live Ticket Office is open from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, Tuesday–Friday.
• A valid Stanford student ID is required to pick up your tickets.
• Limit is two reduced-price tickets per performance; students may bring one non-student guest.
• $15 tickets may not be combined with any other discount.
• Continuing Studies students and postdoctoral scholars are not eligible for Stanford student pricing. 

Student Group Sales

If your class, residence, or club is organizing a group of Stanford students of 10 or more to attend a Stanford Live performance, we've got you covered. For every 10 tickets purchased in one transaction, you'll receive one additional complimentary ticket. Tickets will be charged at the discounted student rate. To organize your group sale, give the Stanford Live Ticket Office a call at 650.724.2464 or email at bingboxoffice@stanford.edu. The Ticket Office is open from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, Tuesday–Friday.

Stanford employees save on tickets throughout the season. With a valid Stanford ID or courtesy card, Stanford employees and their households are eligible for 20% off regular-price tickets to most mainstage performances (excluding Frost Amphitheater shows presented by Goldenvoice) and $5 off tickets to certain Studio shows. Limit is two reduced-price tickets per performance per household.

Do you qualify?

The following categories qualify for a Stanford employee discount:

• Stanford faculty and staff, including temp/casual employees
• Stanford fellows, postdoctoral scholars, or visiting scholars
• SLAC employees
• Stanford Hospital/Stanford Medical Center employees
  

Reduced pricing for employee tickets may not be combined with any other discount. Retired and emeriti faculty do not qualify for the Stanford Live staff discount.

Stanford Live Ticket Office reserves the right to verify employment status at the time of ticket purchase and at Will Call. The Ticket Office accepts the following types of IDs as proof of employee status: faculty/staff card, temp/casual card, fellow card, visiting scholar card, SLAC faculty/staff/temp/casual cards, Stanford Hospital/Stanford Medical Center badge, or courtesy card.

Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) members are eligible for a 10% discount on single tickets (for self and up to one guest) to most Stanford Live performances. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. Discount is not valid for Frost Amphitheater or cabaret performances.

In Person:

Visit the Stanford Live Ticket Office, inform the sales associate that you are an SAA member, and show your membership card to receive up to two discounted tickets. 

By Phone:

Call 650.724.2464 and inform the sales associate that you are an SAA member. Please provide your SAA member number (which can be found on your membership card, from your smartphone at alumni.stanford.edu, or on your key tag). When picking up your tickets at Will Call, please show your SAA membership card.

All youth under age 18 receive 50% off tickets to all mainstage performances (does not include Studio cabaret series unless otherwise noted). Reduced pricing for youth tickets may not be combined with any other discount. Please note that all children, regardless of age, must have a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult. Stanford Live is committed to providing quality cultural experiences for audience members of all ages, although some performances may not be suitable for young children. We ask that children attending Stanford Live performances sit quietly throughout the entire performance and that an adult accompany children under age 18. Please inform Ticket Office personnel if you will be attending with a child so that they can assist you in making the best seating selection.  

K–12 Student Matinees

School-organized matinees are available each year as part of Stanford Live's education and outreach program.

Students age 18 and over with a valid high school, college, or university ID receive 20% off tickets to all mainstage performances (does not include cabaret series unless otherwise noted). Limit of one reduced-price ticket per performance with valid student ID. Student IDs will be checked at the door. Reduced pricing for non-Stanford student tickets may not be combined with any other discount.

Groups that purchase 10 or more full-priced seats to a single performance are eligible to save 10%.

Group sales are available through the Stanford Live Ticket Office in person or by phone. Group rates are also available for Stanford students, including classes, dorms, and student groups.

A $12 processing fee will apply, and the tickets must be purchased in a single transaction and picked up at Will Call by a single contact. This discount is not available for performances presented by the Department of Music.
