Dating back to the 14th century, the Choir of New College, Oxford is one of the UK’s most celebrated choral groups. Based at Oxford University and renowned worldwide through its recordings and tours, the 40-member choir comprises young men plus boys (ages 7–13) who study music intensively at the New College School. For this rare visit to the Bay Area, the Choir will collaborate with the Stanford Chamber Chorale in a program that celebrates the centenary of Benjamin Britten.

Acknowledgments

Generously supported by Stephen and Margaret Gill. Presented in partnership with the Department of Music and School of Humanities & Sciences, and in collaboration with Grace Cathedral, San Francisco.
