The partnership between Stanford Live and the San Francisco Symphony that began in 2019 with the opening of the newly renovated Frost Amphitheater continues this summer with Saturday evening performances led by a variety of guest conductors.
Xian Zhang, who made her professional debut conducting Le nozze di Figaro at the Central Opera House in Beijing at the age of twenty, currently serves as the music director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. At Frost she conducts the SF Symphony in a program of Still and Mozart, with the Piano Concerto performed by pianist George Li.
