★★★★★
"...unexpectedly brilliant theater." —New York Stage Review

"Into its one remarkable hour “Shadow’’ manages to pack more insight, wisdom, emotional resonance, and steadily accumulating power than many stage productions achieve in three times that duration." —Boston Globe

Weaving a narrative through the ethics of mass food production, human rights, the social impact of automation and the dominance of artificial intelligence in the world, Shadow is a theatrical revelation inspired by mistakes, misreadings, misleadings and misunderstanding. It is a work that reminds us that none of us are self-sufficient and all of us are responsible. Shadow is a story about a public meeting, the type of meeting you would hope to happen in a certain kind of democracy—it is a play about individual and collective responsibility.

No more can be said without giving too much away—it is an "indisputable must-see" (New York Stage Review).

I first saw Back to Back in the atrium of a library in Vancouver where their piece small metal objects was the runaway hit of the Push Festival. Truly one of the most innovative and thrilling theatre companies out there.
