The partnership between Stanford Live and the San Francisco Symphony that began in 2019 with the opening of the newly renovated Frost Amphitheater continues this summer with Saturday evening performances led by a variety of guest conductors.
Finnish composer and new music director of SFS Esa-Pekka Salonen leads the SF Symphony in a concert of Bach, Mozart, and Sibelius in the first performance of the summer at Frost. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto will be performed by clarinetist Carey Bell.
Salonen returns to Frost on July 17 to conduct the SFS in a program featuring Haydn, Mozart, and Mendelssohn.
