Giancarlo Aquilanti directs the Wind Ensemble's showcase of their summer tour repertoire with special guest trumpet soloist Marco Pierobon.
Highlights include the world premiere of Aquilanti's Concerto For Trumpet and Wind Ensemble with Pierobon, who has performed with the English Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Kammerkonzert, and I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, among others; Frank Ticheli's Symphony No. 2; Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucco Overture; Leonard Bernstein's Candide Overture; and other selections to be announced. Tickets required for free Stanford student admission; free tickets can be picked up at Bing beginning one hour prior to curtain. Any remaining tickets not picked up by 15 minutes before show time may be reallocated.
