Join bandleader and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis as his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, 15 musicians strong, celebrates the spirit of swing. The legendary Marsalis ensemble is a band with a mission; he vows: "We believe jazz is a metaphor for democracy." Improvisational, swinging, and rooted in the blues, jazz, says Marsalis, celebrates personal freedom and draws hope from adversity. What better reasons to go?

PRE-CONCERT TALK: At 6:30pm, join the National Jazz Museum in Harlem's Loren Schoenberg for a conversation with Victor Goines from the band.
