★★★★
"...this unexpected collaboration doesn't miss a trick."
—The Guardian

Honored for his contributions to jazz worldwide, including awards from the Monterey Jazz Festival and the National Endowment for the Arts, saxophonist Charles Lloyd brings his 80th birthday celebration to the Bing. Lloyd’s shows, “full of momentum and intuition, perfectly represent that the best jazz needs to be experienced live,” said the New York Times. At the Bing, singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams, whose work embraces folk, country, rock, and blues, joins Lloyd and his group, the Marvels.
