Nikolas Strubbe is a creator, performer, writer, director, and teacher of physical theatre and circus arts. His performance specialties include: juggling, rope walking, fire arts, sideshow skills, flying trapeze, aerial dance, and even burlesque. The fundamentals of clown, mime, and storytelling form the core of Nikolas’ personal art, and he believes in the power of storytelling and humor as a catalyst for internal and social change.
Nikolas has been the Ringmaster for Zoppe Italian Family Circus and Circus Avalon in Australia, and the Emcee in Boxcar Theatre’s “The Speakeasy.” He has has taught at San Francisco Circus Center, Berkeley Repertory School of Theatre, UC Santa Cruz, Monterey Peninsula College, the Nueva School, and his own company, Circus Boot Camp. He is a core faculty member of the prestigious Clown Conservatory, and creates innovative performing arts around the world.
