AMERICA 250
2026–2027 Season
OUR AMERICAN STORY

As we mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, this season invites us to reflect on the many voices that have shaped, and continue to shape, our national story.

Many of the composers and performers that are featured arrived in the United States from elsewhere, became citizens, and chose to build their new creative home here. Their works carry echoes of the places from which they came, further transformed by the landscapes, histories, and communities they encountered in America. From each artist's unique context, we hear how migration, identity, and belonging have become part of the musical fabric of this country. We explore the stories behind their works, learn how their roots inform their voices, and see how their creative paths have intersected with the evolving rhythms of American life.

In illuminating these artists, we endeavor to honor the layered, diverse, and continually unfolding American story—one that is not fixed but unendingly evolving.
