RSVP Here

Los Vega, one of Mexico’s foremost son jarocho ensembles, introduces the instruments and musical elements of the signature sound of the Veracruz region. We’ll try the exciting interlocking rhythms of this guitar-based ensemble, learn fundamental songs in the son jarocho repertoire, hear about the music’s 400-year history, and even try some dance steps!

All ages and playing levels welcome. This workshop will be conducted in Spanish with English translation at EPACENTER, 1950 Bay Rd, East Palo Alto.

Sat, Oct 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM | The Studio Los Vega Son Jarocho

Los Vega is a traditional son jarocho group that has been dedicated to the performance, dissemination, and promotion of this musical genre for 20 years. Their music is characterized by the balance they achieve between their cultural roots and family heritage with musical quality and stage experience.
