Poetry Live!

Poetry Live!, an evening dedicated to the electrifying power of spoken word poetry, returns to the Stanford Live stage. Following the massive success of last year's event, which The Stanford Daily called “a night that reflected the resilience of artistry in unprecedented times,” we are thrilled to announce the 5th annual Poetry Live!, curated by ITALIC lecturer Sam Sax and Creative Writing lecturer Hieu Minh Nguyen. This year’s event will bring together two seminal award-winning poets, essayists, and scholars: Dr. Cameron Awkward-Rich and Franny Choi, each of whom has reshaped the landscape of contemporary performance poetry. They will be accompanied by members of Stanford's Spoken Word Collective. This is not a night to be missed.
